The Press recently sat down with four upperclass members of the Port Isabel High Lady Tarpons volleyball squad at the athletic department, to hear their thoughts on the upcoming volleyball season.

Simone Harry, a senior, volunteered to go first starting things off with a note about summer vacation.

“I’m a little sad that it’s going to be ending so soon,” she said.  “I haven’t been doing any rigorous workouts but I’ve running and stuff, so my endurance should be there.”

“It’s going to be my last season, so I really want to make the most of it.”

Sabrina Garza, also a senior about to begin her final high school volleyball season, said that two years of experience at the varsity level of the game has made her a more confident player.
