Lady Tarpons fall at home to Hidalgo

The Port Isabel High Lady Tarpons volleyball team lost at home to Hidalgo Tuesday night, three sets to one.  It was their third straight loss to start the district season.

The Hidalgo Lady Pirates won by the scores of 25-13, 23-25, 25-10, 25-10.

Port Isabel fell behind 16-5 and 21-6 in the first set, then rallied to score five of six points before Hidalgo score the last two points to win.  In the second it was back and forth until P.I. scored five straight points to lead 20-14.  The Lady Pirates pulled even at 23 and the Lady Tarpons took the last two points.  Hidalgo dominated the rest of the way, taking leads of 11-1 and 17-2 in the third game, and 11-1 and 17-5 in the fourth.
