The Port Isabel High Lady Tarpons volleyball team beat the Grulla Lady Gators in straight sets Tuesday night in a District 32-4A match at Tarpon Gym.
It was the Lady Tarpon’s third win in their last four district matches and they are now 3-6 in league play.
“That was a great win for the girls and I thought they did an excellent job tonight,” P.I. head coach Julie Breedlove said afterwards. “We let very few balls drop and our serve-receive improved.”
Port Isabel won by the scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-14, and evened the season series in the rematch against the team that beat the Lady Tarpons in straight sets last month.
