She is a loyal, dedicated Port Isabel School District employee who has served as assistant athletic administrator and dropout prevention specialist for a number of years. Her name is Laura Orive.
Port Isabel fans may have seen Orive on the sidelines during football games or at other sporting events. Her experience and talent has been utilized in working with Athletic Director Monty Stumbaugh and his coaching staff for 17 years as they prepare for team travel, and work with potential dropout students and their parents. She also assists in organizing different athletic events.
