The defensive backs are the last line of defense for any football team. They are known as the defensive secondary, but they are anything but secondary in importance when it comes to stopping an opponent’s passing attack.
The Press visited with some of the Tarpon secondary men this week and they talked about pass defense and how it’s played.
“You just have to be in the right coverages, the right spot,” junior defensive back Jeremy Martinez said this week. “We read the receivers.”
