The ballot is set for the May 5 General and Special Elections in Laguna Vista.
In the General Election, two incumbents, Rolando Gonzalez who holds the place 4 position vacated by Lety Keplinger last year, and Nadine Smith who has the Place 6 seat on the Town Council, are unopposed in their bids for election to the Board.
Sitting Councilman Victor Worrell, who replaced Gary Meschi who resigned from the board, drew a challenger in Abel Delgadillo, in the Place 5 position on the Town Council.
The Special Election was called to consider a proposed amendment to the Town’s Home Rule Charter, adopted in 2011, to spell-out boundaries and uses of the Town’s marina.
