The boys’ basketball team went on the road Tuesday night for a game with the Cardinals of La Villa, and came home with an 80-47 win in their final non-district game of the season.
Port Isabel finishes their district pre-season with a 13-2 record and will host Raymondville next Tuesday in the district opener. The Tarpons are off this Friday.
“The kids played well,” P.I. Head Coach Mike Hazelton said Wednesday. “They came out in the first half and put on a pretty good show.”
The score was tied about midway through the first period before the Tarpons began to pull away.
