Special to the PRESS
Alicia Baldovinos is seeking re-election as PIISD School Board Place 4 for the purpose of continuing to “improve our district for our children; our future”.
Baldovinos is asking for the community’s vote so she can continue, “working to bring new opportunities for our students, to support our teachers and staff while providing a better work environment, and to increase the transparency of our district by better informing our community, while also lobbying against Robin Hood and voting to keep our tax rate the lowest among school districts in our region.”
She believes that, although they have made many improvements during her time on the board, her work is not yet complete. Baldovinos states that, “aside from continuing to work toward these goals, the Bond Project that was passed by voters (without an increase in our tax rate) in November is in the planning stage, and soon we will begin with renovations to our 4 campuses, modernizing our science labs, updating bathrooms in our elementary schools, adding outdoor learning spaces, updating baseball & softball fields, adding new tennis courts, etc.”
