ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE: On Oct. 24, 2022, at approximately 05:57 hours, South Padre Island police officers responded to the 100 Block of East Swordfish, in reference to a burglary. A window on the entrance door appeared to be broken. Officers inspected the area and found no signs of forced entry made and no property was missing.
UUMV UNFOUNDED: On Oct. 25, 2022, at approximately 08:28 hours, officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of Padre Boulevard, in reference to a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the reporting party who stated his friend reported his vehicle stolen. The male was subsequently arrested, and the owner did not want to file charges. The vehicle was released to the owner.
4902 PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On Oct. 25, 2022, at approximately 21:24 hours, officers responded to the Isla Grand 550 Padre Boulevard, in reference to an uncooperative female. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female and security by the pool area. Officers offered to escort the female back to the room, but the establishment stated they no longer wanted her on the property. Due to not having any other person willing to take custody of the female, therefore she was placed under arrest for her safety.
DWI/PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On Oct. 26, 2022, at around 02:00 hours, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for various traffic infractions. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the driver was intoxicated and was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. The passenger of the vehicle was also intoxicated and deemed a danger to herself and was placed under arrest for Public Intoxication.
4207 HARASSMENT: On Oct. 26, 2022, at approximately 09:40 hours, officers made contact with a female subject in the South Padre Island police lobby, in reference to her being harassed. The female subject stated that an old boyfriend was attempting to contact her through text and phone calls, and she wanted him to stop. The female subject stated that she did not want to press charges and only wanted him to stop trying to contact her.
ASSAULT F/V CLASS C: On Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022, at approximately 15:20 hours, officers responded to the 100 block of East Campeche Street, in reference to a female being chased by a male subject. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a male subject who was identified as the caller and victim of an assault. The Investigation revealed a male subject committed simple assault T.P.C 22.01 when he intentionally, knowingly or recklessly caused bodily injury to his common-law spouse.
