The City of Port Isabel has taken steps to clean up an area house some neighbors call an eyesore and a safety hazard.
The house is located at the intersection of 2nd and Oklahoma. The grass is overgrown, part of the roof has caved in, and piles of debris sit in a pile in the driveway. Neighbor Rex Pickel said he’s been staring at the dilapidated house for three years, and he’s seen enough.
“That trash has been in the driveway since I’ve lived here,” said Pickel. “It’s an eyesore.”
