The seniors took down the juniors, 20-8, in the fourth annual Powderpuff Football Game Tuesday night at Tarpon Stadium.

With the win the players of the Class of 2016 go out undefeated in the contest, which is now officially a spring tradition.  These same players won last year’s game as juniors, 18-8.

These girls put on an enjoyable show for the modest crowd that was on hand, and extra entertainment was provided by the all-male cheerleader squad.

The seniors led 8-0 early when, on their first possession, Karina Vela ran 42 yards around right end for the first touchdown of the night, and 14-0 after Alex Martinez went the opposite way for a 12-yard scoring run.  Martinez scored again from eight yards out after Marina Wise’s second interception of the game and at the end of the first quarter the seniors led 20-0.
