Week by week the Port Isabel Lady Tarpons track and field squad is coming together. A complete team that has at least one athlete for each event is still not available. It’s an on-going process, the idea of which is to build up to and prepare for the district meet in April and girls’ Head Coach Julie Breedlove is pleased with the improvement her athletes have shown thus far in 2018.
“Everything’s looking good,” Coach Breedlove told the Press Monday.
Referring to the relay teams she said, “We’re still shifting around. Our times are coming along and look good for district.”
The District 32-4A track and field meet will be held in La Feria Thursday and Friday, April 5-6.
