Sea Turtle Inc. is saying farewell to Sublime, Tumble, Blessed, Mushroom, Ciabatta, and Cowgirl, who are all Atlantic green sea turtles, on Monday, April 11, at 3:45 p.m. outside of the SPI Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Atlantic sea turtles are the primary species in Laguna Madre Bay, which provides the turtles with an abundance of seagrasses for feeding and protection from larger predators.
“Education is such a critical part of the Sea Turtle Inc. mission, and being able to share the months of hard work with the public is something we enjoy so much,” says Wendy Knight, Chief Executive Officer at Sea Turtle Inc. “Being able to see the release of six patients at one time is a unique event you will not want to miss!”
