Head coach Alan Ward’s squad brought their “A” game and led from the start.  So I was told at any rate by Coach Ward after it was all over.  I neglected to remember the earlier-than-usual tip-off time due to the extra travel time required for the visitors.  I arrived at the gym in the middle of the second quarter.  “We did lead all the way,” Coach Ward said afterwards.  “I gotta’ give the kids a lot of credit because we got into serious foul trouble early.  We had three starters out for a substantial amount of time.”
