Sergio Cisneros, an employee with the lab at the Laguna Madre Water District (LMWD), has been selected as LMWD’s Employee of the Month for September. His nomination says that he is “always willing to go above and beyond when anything that is needed.”

Cisneros began working at the water district 23 years ago, starting as a dispatcher, then working ten years in the Water Plant Department, where he obtained his “B” Water License. He then transferred to the Lab Department, where he’s been working for the past 13 years, earning his “C” Wastewater License.

In the nomination letter, Lab Manager Ms. Evelyn Saldivar stated, “Sergio has good decision-making skills. He’s thoughtful, considerate, and knowledgeable of the rules and regulations.”

Saldivar added that Cisneros uses his creativity and experience to develop different ideas for troubleshooting issues in the lab. She highlighted his strong communication skills and how he represents the organization proudly when assisting customers, managers, coworkers, and outside agencies.

She further stated that Cisneros recently “did a great job communicating with an EPA agent, answering all of his inquiries while adhering to the methods and standards used to meet regulations.”
