DHR Health to host ‘Fishing for Hope’

DHR Health says to get ready to make a splash at its Annual “Fishing for Hope” Tournament. The tournament will be held at Jim’s Pier on South Padre Island on Aug. 26, 2023.

More than just a fishing tournament, the event is also an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the community, as all proceeds will benefit the Hope Family Health Center of McAllen, according to DHR. The  Hope  Family  Health Center is a non-profit family healthcare facility  dedicated  to  serving the healthcare needs of uninsured families living the Rio Grande Valley. The center provides various  primary medical,  counseling, integrated behavioral health, peer support, case management and wellness programs. All services are provided free of charge through the generous efforts of the center’s volunteer physicians and medical staff.

To date, the yearly Fishing for Hope Tournament, coordinated by DHR Health, has raised over $4 million for the center.
