The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) announced the City of South Padre Island received the GFOA’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the 2022-2023 Fiscal Year.
A Certificate of Recognition was presented to the City of South Padre Island Finance Department for being primarily responsible for achieving the award. These awards reflect the financial responsibility that all City staff adheres to and their commitment to being good stewards of taxpayer dollars.
“I would like to recognize Maria for her dedication and contribution to this project and efforts made by staff throughout the City to contribute to this success,” stated Rodrigo Gimenez, chief financial officer.
