Delgadillo named EOTM

Mark Delgadillo has been selected as the Laguna Madre Water District’s (LMWD) Employee of the Month (EOTM) for February.

Delgadillo, a dedicated member of the LMWD family for over a decade, has consistently demonstrated his commitment to his work, read a LMWD announcement.

He initially joined the Wastewater Department and has been a valuable part of the Lift Station Department for the past two years, earning his “A” license.

In a nomination letter, Francisco Guzman (Lift Station Manager) and Arnold Lopez (Lift Station Assistant Manager) stated, “Delgadillo’s work ethic is unparalleled, and he never hesitates to take on any task assigned to him.

His colleagues describe him as a team player, always ready to lend a hand to any department in need and humble enough to accept assistance. His supervisors express their gratitude for having such an exceptional employee on their team, a sentiment shared by the entire Laguna Madre Water District.”

When asked about this award, Delgadillo said, “It feels good to be appreciated, especially for all the hard work that no one sees!” He described his team as his second family and discussed how much he enjoys working for the LMWD.

“I enjoy learning more about pumps and troubleshooting, plus our team is close and cool with each other.”
Delgadillo shared that during his time off, he enjoys “hunting, fishing, barbecuing, and hanging out with my two daughters, Kendall and Kait, and my wife, Jessica.”
