Worst is over with Tropical Storm Arlene

According to Tim Speece of the National Weather Service Weath­er Forecast Office in Brownsville, the worst is over from Tropical Storm Arlene in the Valley.

“[Thursday] was the worst day, so there will be a gradual improvement over the next few days,” Speece said in regards to the heavy rainfall.

“It made landfall this morning and, as of 10 a.m., Arlene was located at 21.6 North Longitude, 97.8 West Latitude. She is moving west at around 7mph with 65 mph winds with higher gusts,” the meteorologist said.
